Nancy Hache is a Sunshine Coast area artist who resides in Gibsons and works out of her studio and  Molly's Lane retail shop "The Walzting Whippet".  Nancy and her husband retired to Gibsons from Ottawa in 2005.  

Nancy is a self-taught artist who credits a great deal of her abilities to watching her mother paint in oils and successfully sell her work for years throughout the Ottawa Valley.  Nancy paints in acrylic medium and utilizes a broad spectrum of polymers and gels.

"Painting is my passion, it is what I am  always thinking about and dreaming of."

THE FLORA COLLECTION: Consisiting of 26 pieces.     "With the FLORA collection I really wanted to paint close-ups of flowers using lots of texture and bold colour to show the beauty in the movement and folds of the petals."

MAN and MUSCLE COLLECTION: Consisting of 10 pieces.  "With the Man and Muscle collection, I set out to paint sections of the male physique utilizing loads of colour and working solely on defining the muscles."

" Since moving to Gibsons I have become a real beachcomber.  I love the shells, sea glass and unusual pieces of wood you find on the beaches.  Of course the best part of living here is that the Sunshine Coast has so many beautiful beaches to explore."

It is clear to see the influence living by the ocean has had on Nancy's art.  Inspiring not only her gorgeous canvas work but also the inspiration behind the creation of Shell embellished Curtain Pulls, Lamps, Candle Holders, Message Boards, Art Boxes and exquisite Shell Encrusted Mirrors.  Now although shell frames are not an original concept, when created by the talented Nancy Hache they become a piece that far exceeds anything you may have seen in this form.
